Hiking in Šaleška mountain path.On Saturday we went hiking in the Šaleška mountain path. The path leads over the peaks above Šaleška valley: Paški Kozjak, Šentviško pogorje and Ponikovska planota. The path is about 130km long and has 21 check points. Record books and stamps are available in farms, mountain huts and guest houses. The beginning of the path is in Šalek (Verdelj restaurant), it continues over Paški Kozjak, then Graška gora, Zarazborje, Gora Oljke and ends at the Velenje castle. It is advised to walk the path in four or five stages. You can start or end in Velenje, Gornji Dolič, Šoštanj (Gabrk) or Šmartno ob Paki. There are some pictures available in the gallery.

Bavški Grintavec is a mighty mountain, which rises steeply above Bavščica, Zadnja Trenta and Soča valleys. All footpaths towards the top are long and except for the one from the Soča valley also very difficult. The most difficult footpath however is from Kanja mountain pass towards the top, which was the one we chose. Since there are no high mountain tops close by, the views on the Central and Western Julian Alps are magnificent. The most beautiful view however opens towards Jalovec mountain, which rises above Zadnja Trenta valley. The mountain top, which has an entry box, is also the highest in the mountain ridge from Kal – Koritnica valley to Trenta valley. triglav_1 (Triglav, 9 7th 2010) On wednesday we took our client on Slovenia highest mountain - Triglav. Refreshing afternoon gave access to energy for Kredarica. The new morning, new stories and summit. See more about the rise on the gallery_1, gallery_2 and video.

Sport holiday (Velenje, 16 8 - 27 8th 2010) In the weeks before the start of school is carried out for primary school sports, which is organizes Sports association of Velenje. The youngest, as well as a little older people are trying basic elements with nordic rollers skike. You can view the gallery in video.
grosser_geiger (Friday, 30th april 2010) Because of good weather forecast, we decided to do probably the last ski-tour in this season. We selected a Venediger group - Grosser Gieger 3360 m. Nice weather we were already see at the starting point in the small alpine village Strode. From the parking beautifully landscaped winding path towards to the Essener Rostocker Hutt, we originally planned on the hut two nights. The first day we climbed up to Simonysee and tray first ski turns. The snow was verry wet  The next morning we walked from the hut at 5:30, and climb at the top at 8.30. On the way, as well as on top of the fog we had on several occasions. On top the sun came out, so we can  record a few shots. When we were skiing in the direction of the climb, the snow has become very wet again, and the fog come out so it is pretty difficult skiing. Nevertheless, there was some pleasure and some ski orienteering skills. The fact that the poor front moves over this part, we decided that pushes the same day in the valley and home. ski_tour_1  Kredarica (16 - 17th April 2010) As the weather forecast promised good weather, we went on Friday against Kredarica. On the highway  where we passing by it was very crowded, so that we arrive in Krma at 17.00. In Krma - rain shower. So we start  with tour at 18:00. In the Valley a lot of southern snow. At the mountain hut somewhere 20 touring skiers and in the rooms- winter classic - without heating , so we prefer to have a little chat in the only warm place in the hut. Plan for the next day, waking up at 6:00 and at 7:00 pm starting at the top of Triglav. Morning fog prevented us to climb on the Triglav so we start skiing  down in to the fog. We tested the clothing  thoni mara - LS shirt, and the result is an excellent evacuation of moisture. The garment was almost dry at the finish. The garment is also very well controlled by temperature, but since it has no seam does not irritate the skin. Sleeves and bottom of the garment is extended by us while walking nicely covers the skin. skike3  (Thursday, 25th march 2010) In Thursday's lovely weather we have done a second test of the nordic skateboards skike. Even today, it was a lot of skike fans - around 35. Some participants stepped on skike with enthusiasm , the other stepped with respect on skike. Another day full of entertainment and sports pleasures.

(Wednesday, 24th March 2010). Today was held the first test SKIKENordic skateboards. SKIKE Nordic skateboards has tested approximately 25 people. Everybody liked it, so we will have next weekc first course.

(Sunday, 21th March 2010) In a bit windy weather was on Sunday on the field at the drop of Bolski village held its first open competition for Skike national championship. Organizer SZ Prebold and Skike club Slovenia have developed an attractive 6 km long route. Organizer Igor Uranjek - Skike club Slovenia is awarded the best skikers a medals, while the rest received a commemorative T-shirt.

 (Sunday, 14th March 2010) During the week the snow again whitened our mountain. On Saturday we have chosen a classic ski-touring expedition to Smrekovec. Then I continued on the path to Vršič where we had  Slovenian mountain guides two-days  training.   Wonderful days in the Julian Alps are quickly passed. GPS track Smrekovec.
2010_02_14_Smrekovec (Sunday 14th February 2010) Also Sunday, it is necessary to take advantage of some short touring ski. If nothing else, Smrekovec is always the right solution. In the valley fog, on the slopes Smrekovec the sun. True poetry. And what and where is  Smrekovec. Smrekovec is the name for 15km long pre-alpine ridge, which is situated on the crossroads of the Šalek, the Upper Savinja and the Upper Meža valleys. The Smrekovec highland ridge begins on the east with the pass Sleme, where the ridge first lifts up with the peak of Smrekovec. The ridge continues across Smrekovec to peaks such as Krnes, Komen and Veliki Travnik, which smoothly rise from a gently undulating landscape. The Smrekovec highland ridge ends by the pass Bela Peč on the western side and it passes over Raduha on the diary Vodole. The natural environment of the Smrekovec highland ridge is according to nature conditions a speciality and of high value. Highland meadows and forests have namely still managed to preserve nature which is nowadays treated as Slovenian and European heritage. More you can read here>>.
2010_02_13_nad_orlovim (Saturday, February 13th 2010) Nice day is promising a lot. For the third time we we went to Logarska Valley, where the conditions for ice climbing waterfalls are really excellent. This time the path led us to lookout platform Eagles Nest - which is closed at this time. Above it is the waterfall with the same name, waterfall above the eagle nest (4 +, 50m). Although the waterfall soon covered the sun was climbing great. Climbed Peter Vrčkovnik and Ciril Bohak.

Waterfall Fakinof. Again a beautiful sunny day (Monday, February 8th, 2010 - Slovenian cultural day), although initially a bit cloudy. This time we took to the ice falls in Matkov kot - GPS track icon_gps. We climbed the waterfall Fakinof - II / 5, 140m, WI (90 °) 80 °, UIAA 4, 5R. The valley was named after the Matk farmstead which was one hundred years ago with 700 hectares one of the largest in Slovenia. The farmstead lies 1165 meters above the sea level, while the farm reaches down to the spring of the Jezera stream at 800 m altitude, to the peak of Mrzla Gora, 2203 m above the sea. The main sight in the valley is the so-called Matkov Škaf (" Matk's Tub") is located. This crater-like snow hollow, which is over 10 metres deep, was gouged out by a strong 30-metre high waterfall that appears each spring. If there is enough snow, the tub can be up to 30 -meter deep. There are still two farmsteads in the valley where one can listen to the zither: at Matk farmstead and at Gradišnik, where there is also an archery track. The zither was the most common instrument in this region, in the past it could be heard in every farmstead. Climbed Peter Vrčkovnik, Tomaž Jelenko and Ciril Bohak.

2010_02_06_ivovec Waterfall Ivovec. (Saturday, 6th february 2010) We are again climbing ice waterfalls. Although it is already felt warm weather waterfalls are well-made. This time we climbed the waterfall Ivovec W13/90 m, Lower Ivovec W14/100 m and waterfall under the tunnel. Below are four ice jumps (from left to right): Central Ivovec, Krokarjev zleb, Gamsov zleb in Spodnji Ivovec. We also climbed waterfall under the tunnel W14/100m. Torrential ravine stalking through the first threshold (90 ° / 6 m) to terasice above which raises another, more difficult jump (90 ° / 15 m). Nice day, full experience.
Palenk waterfall. On Sunday 3rd January, we opened the ice climbing season in the Logar Valley. We climbed Palenk waterfall and several smaller in the gorge before Logarska Valley. In Logar Valley alone there are over 40 natural values of the waterfalls, rock towers, caves, glacial to balvanov, trees of extraordinary dimensions, flora and fauna. Natural monument Slap Palenk particularly after rain descends to 78 m deep in the waterfalls.
