It has been a few week since the 18th SPAR European Cross Country Championships were finished however the memory is still alive among the runners and organisers. Magnificant surrounding, excellent course, perfect weather conditions, record number of runners, exciting runs and happiness in everyone's eyes are the key words of this event. We have tried to show all these and more in the video you can find in the video gallery.

On Sunday, 11 December, the 18th European Cross Country Championships, the biggest sport event this year, took place in Velenje. Words of praise that a few days after the event are coming in from the top of European Athletics, competitors and other observers all have one thing in common; this has been one of the best organised championships so far. The mediaattack team has become a part of the project more than a month before the event, when we first designed the official webpage of the championships (www.velenje2011.si) and made it bilingual. Then followed the filming of the venue, the production of videos and representational films of the city of Velenje as well as the reports of the last preparations in forms of articles.

On the day of the championships we have made it possible for cross country fans to stream the championships live from our official webpage, to view the gallery of moments taken through the lens and to read about results of every individual race. An enviable number of 12,921 visitors who watched the European championships on Sunday is telling us that it was worth a look. However an even greater number of 28,205 cross country fans have visited the site in the last month all together.

We also prepared the graphics of sponsors being presented on the big screen, which was also our domain during the race. Finally we had our own filming crew on the event that managed to record enough interesting moments from the races, which we will turn into interesting, memorable and representative videos of this important athletic event. No doubt there is a big and interesting but also very successful project behind us.

On Sunday, 11 December, the biggest sports event this year took place in Velenje,European Cross Country Championships. A record number of 479 athletes coming from 33 different countries participated in the event. The races were in six different categories, Junior Men and Women, U23 Men and Women and Senior Men and Women, who were competing to win twelve sets of medals. The most successful country was again the team of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who won twelve medals, six of which were golden.
Mediaattack team played an important role in the organisation of the championships with taking care of the official webpage of the event, of the video clips, picture material and reporting from the event on the web.

14th BOFF – Bovec Outdoor Film Festival is an international film festival, where films about outdoor sports and nature and ecology will be presented. The aim is to offer the audience a high quality choice of films and talks. The audience consists of a great variety of sports people, which reflects in the variety of film topics being sent.
